This Moment
This is not a photo from this week. It isn't even a photo from this year. It was taken in 1998 on a beach in Port Aransas, Texas. Look how happy and carefree we look.
Lynn at Blue Skies (see badge to the left) has opened up a great idea of sharing a moment in time, from your week, or perhaps from the past - a moment in time where you stopped and really thought about the moment when you are in it, and what that moment holds. I chose to remember this moment, back in 1998 when my love and I were enjoying each other, our families, and the beach.
I found myself drawn back to this moment in time this week as I was forced to focus some time and energy on where my life is today. Not only in my relationship with my love, but also where I am personally on my own journey in life. I found that when going back in time to this moment, that at the time, I did cherish it. I was blissful in it. I was madly happy and content. And what I realize, is that over the years I've let myself lose sight of how important that moment in time is to my well being. How every single moment in the past fifteen years of my life with my love, have shaped who I am today and the path I'm on.
That day back in 1998, was a happy one. And whether I've realized or not, has influenced my outlook on life and kept me going ever since.

Great to able to reflect back on a time you know is super happy and caught in a picture. Nice to have it to look at everyday and say, "Let's be happy today"

Thanks to you and Lynn for taking the time to reflect and share and inspire. It really isn't where we are, but what we believe about where we are. Life has a way of jading my outlook and I have to choose each day to see the beauty around me, the preciousness of those I have in my life (rather than what they are doing that doesn't please me) - celebrating their unique individual journey and how blessed I am to be a part of it. Time to live in this moment, the only thing that we really have, otherwise we are never really living, but only playing make-believe!
