I did it. I went out Saturday morning, bought a live Leland Cypress and made it our Christmas tree. I think it turned out great. Colored lights and a mix of ornament styles and colors, makes for a pretty sweet tree. My tree topper wouldn't stay upright on the delicate top branch of the tree, so I used my glitter peace sign ornament at the top. Actually, quite fitting for me and my belief in finding your peace.
And, Bumble and The Grinch have taken up spots in front of the fireplace ready for cold winter nights and hot toddies.
Add in a few sparklies for oohs and aahs, and it is finally looking a bit like the holidays around here. I'm finishing up the gift shopping today, and plan to settle in the rest of the week for down time, fun time and creative time.

Ann Marie your tree is beautiful! That is a very sweet cypress, it's beautiful in itself.
