hello, and welcome!

i'm ann marie and that girl designs is a design firm based in austin, texas specializing in residential projects.

i was born and raised in this great big state, and i think that's pretty cool.  i obtained my first undergraduate degree from texas a&m university.  i am currently finishing up my senior year (online) at the academy of art university in san francisco in the interior architecture and design program. 

my experiences are vast, including owning a retail store which featured stationery, gifts and home decor.  before opening the store, i designed a line of custom jewelry.  prior to all this fun stuff, i worked in the corporate world in the area of customer relations.  these experiences along with my love of nature, enlighten my design philosophy.  our homes are truly the one place we can be ourselves.  our surroundings should comfort us, inspire us, and be a reflection of who we are.  in short, a happy place to be.  nothing is more satisfying to me than helping clients create surroundings that nurture and inspire.

in addition, to that girl designs, my husband and i own go design, a construction business focusing on residential remodels and new construction. 

my free time is spent in my art studio, creating. i read every night before bed.  i have an intense love of animals and nature.  yoga saved my life.  i adore cary grant.  i want to travel the world.  i believe we live in an awesome universe.
