Such a fabulous story! I had one of my peak experiences hiking on a mountian too. It was Mt. Arrarat in turkey. I had embarked in the venture quite naively and without much experience and was totally awed (and frightened) seing this HUGe mountain arising from the ground like a giant. But - i've managed to climb it and it was one of the greatest things i've ever done. My motto since than:
